We are exposed to a tremendous amount of advertising and we think that it just washes over us but there are times when it astounds me how powerful it can be.
This evening my wife and I went to Abode in Manchester to dine at Michael Caine’s restaurant where we had an excellent meal.
We made our way back home on the train and we were expecting it to be a bit rowdy as it was a Saturday night and on Halloween but it was all good humoured really.
One incident that made me laugh was a guy walked down the isle wearing a green football shirt and the train spontaneously erupted into a Mexican wave of cry’s of, “Green Army!” as he walked down the carriage. The shout Green Army being made popular by the character played by Paul Whitehouse in the Aviva advert where he plays a hard worn football supporter for Plymouth Argyle.
